Design
Our 3D-style face covering was born after making numerous masks for my family.
The shape of this 3D Cotton Face Covering sits away from your mouth and nose, so you are able to talk, laugh and yawn without it sliding off. Because some of us have sensory issues, designing for comfort and wearability was paramount. The resulting design is comfortable, breathable, adjustable and fits super well on a variety of shapes and sizes.
Creation
Your face covering will be created to your specifications, and all work is mindfully completed in our own studio. Because our products are made to order, construction will take from one to two weeks. We promise it will be worth the wait. Thanks for your understanding.
Shipping
Shipping is through Canada Post. You may also safe pick up at our studio location, or have your order delivered to select locations in Simcoe County. For delivery catchment area, see this link. If you wish to order one or two sample face coverings shipped via Canada Post Lettermail™ without tracking, we have included the option to do so. See our 3D Cotton Face Covering samples page.
Construction & Options
Our standard 100% 3D Cotton Face Coverings are made from two layers of pre-washed premium cotton, with a casing to allow you to both adjust, and change out the tie. You may order your masks with or without nose wires, although nose wires are recommended if you wear glasses. See more on eyeglasses and face coverings here.

Our Sizing
We have five size options available:
- Child
- Adult small
- Adult medium
- Adult large
- Extra large
Mask Fit
This style only covers where it needs to (not ear to ear). Because of the extra space around your mouth and nose, our sizing is generous. The various ties we offer allow you even more flexibility in fit.
Other Options
You may choose your 3D cotton face covering either with or without a nose wire. If you chose a mask without a nose wire, you may order it either with or without scoops. Essentially scoops are small cut-outs at the top edge of the face coverings that allow a better fit around your eyes. See the images in the Finding Your Size link below.
3D Cotton Face Covering Ties
For further customization, we have three tie options to choose from: Bungee-style Elastic (think pony tail elastic), Nylon Paracord (non-stretchy soft nylon cord like a hoodie drawstring) or soft and stretchy, 3-ply Ear Loops. Keep in mind that if you have ordered a tie option that doesn’t work for you, we have ties available to purchase individually here.
Children’s Ties
Children’s face coverings with around the head Bungee-elastic come with safety release toggles. You may prefer to order child sizes with either ear loops or nylon cord. Many children find the elastic ties or nylon cord around the head more comfortable than ear loops for long periods of time.

Because our fabric collection is extensive, fabrics are broken into two galleries: kid’s only fabrics (including a limited number of small), as well as all other sizes (including kids). Use & Care
We recommend washing your 3D Cotton Face Covering by hand, since this will extend the life of your mask and ensure that it will always be ready to wear the next day. Wash at least once before you trim your elastic bungee cord, as the elastic may shrink slightly. We have recently discovered a salad spinner hack which is super convenient for hand washing face masks.

Please note that we understand it is not always possible to wear a reusable face covering, and there are many instances where an N95 or KN95 is required. Whatever face covering you wear needs to fit well, or it will not be effective.

Masks are very well made! It is great to have the option of nose wire (we all wear glasses) and the extra security of the silk filter. It is also good they come in different sizes. I followed the measurement guidelines and they fit perfectly. The bungee cords are great for school since they make the masks comfortable when wearing them all day; my 11 year old son loves them. And the fabric options are fun!

I have an abnormally large melon and the XL size actually FITS my ridiculous face. The full head elastics (instead of the ear loops) make for a very comfortable fit with a tighter seal than I can get off ear-loop masks.
Also they’re very pretty. I got the prancing unicorn mask because I’m an adult and I can wear what I want dangit. 🙂

Purchased 3 masks for the family – child, medium, and large. The masks themselves are beautifully made and the fabrics are gorgeous. As an added touch, the masks arrived nicely packaged with a well-organized leaflet detailing the package contents and how to care for the masks (personally, I have a high appreciation for such attention to detail). I am particularly pleased with the children’s mask as it fits my 3-year-old daughter very well and does not easily slide off her nose like most other masks. What’s more, she loves the design and is happy to wear it. The large mask also fits my husband well. However, I did not notice a significant difference in the medium vs. large mask in terms of sizing and, unfortunately, the medium is a bit too big for me; as it turns out, I should have ordered a small for myself. With respect to ties, I ordered a combination of bungee and nylon ties in hopes that they would be more comfortable than ear loops. However, we found that the bungee/nylon ties failed to stay in place. As a result, I converted the masks to ear loops and this has rectified the issue. My only other comment is that it took about 3.5 weeks for the masks to arrive, which is a considerable length of time, but I feel it was worth the wait. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and will be reordering another set of masks giving more consideration the choice of size and ties.

I am pleased that you love your masks, and totally understand re the shipping. I am in contact with Canada Post on a regular basis to rectify the exorbitant shipping fees I pay. Unfortunately it’s a typical struggle with a typical monopoly. I will hopefully be able to resolve this soon. Currently we do offer free shipping in Canada only, for orders over $200.
